One of Trish's nurses, Katie, just made my day. She sent me pictures of one of the bricks I had laid in O'Donnell Square in Canton, just minutes from Hopkins. The pictures are below. There's one more brick there somewhere that thanks the nurses of Weinberg 5.

Dear Chip, in the off chance you are still receiving e-mails from your blog, I just wanted to send you my most heartfelt condolences on the loss of your wife, Trish.

I stumbled upon your blog tonight as I was linking to various posts about bone marrow donation. You and Trish share the same wedding anniversary as my husband and I - albeit we were married six years after you. Last weekend, we completed a marathon on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - and it was one of the most gratifying experiences of my life.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I wish you peace, healing and strength.
